The Prince George’s Harlem Remembrance Foundation (HRF) recognizes individuals and organizations within our community who have made significant contributions in the areas of Art, Entertainment, and Literature, with our L.O.V.E. Awards. Annually we are seek the assistance of our community leaders, to help us to identify local residents that have demonstrated their commitment to their family and community and should be recognized for their outstanding social engagement and leadership. Each year, The Foundation selects a panel of judges to decide on the winners within the four categories. All nominees are invited to the Harlem Renaissance Festival Gala, where the winners will be announced.
Leadership in Service: An individual or organization that has proven their leadership in service in the form of project development; education; financial support; or community initiatives.
Outreach in Service: An individual or organization that provides affordable and accessible opportunities in service to Prince George’s County residents. They encourage service development and develop aspiring community leaders.
Visionary in Service: An innovator in service, who has dedicated their lives to creating the Best of Life within their respective area of service expertise.
Excellence in Service: An individual or organization that has consistently exemplified outstanding accomplishments in the commitment to serving their community, family and/or country.
