Roger C. Thomas, Esquire serves as General Counsel for thePrince George’s County Public Schools. Prior to his appointment as General Counsel forPrince George’s County Public Schools, Mr. Thomas was a Partner at the law firm of Knight, Manzi, Nussbaum & LaPlaca located in Upper Marlboro,Maryland where he practiced law for approximately fourteen years. Mr. Thomas is currently the Co-Chairman of the Character Committee for the Fourth Appellate Judicial Circuit, and formerly served as Deputy People’s Zoning Counsel for Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Mr. Thomas is an active member of many professional bar associations and organizations. Mr. Thomas is a current member of the Prince George’s County Bar Association, and is a former Co-Chairman of that Bar Association’s Judicial Nominating Committee, Board of Directors and Professionalism Committee. Mr. Thomas is also a current member of the Maryland State Bar Association and formerly served on its Mentoring Program and Committee on Achieving Court Excellence for the Circuit and District Courts for Prince George’s County, Maryland. Finally, Mr. Thomas is past President and current member of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, and is a past Chairman of its Judicial Nominating Committee.
