I like likes just as much as the next person. Although I am way past caring just what the next person cares about me if that makes any sense to you. In my personal life, I have never been the popular guy, so I’m quite used to that. No, my preoccupation with likes, just as much as it is yours, is purely professional. So, I don’t mind telling you that I am usually thrilled to bits when I’ve received a good volume of likes on Instagram posts I may have sent out in the last week or so.
These days, I’m inundated with so much despairing news on social media networks (not so much on Instagram mind you) from folks who lament that not many people seem to like what they do or say. Now, if you are one of those poor folks reading this note right now, chin-up. You’ve just got roll up your sleeves and prepare yourself for a little work.
And let me just tell you, it’s not hard work. It’s fun. And I’m a guy who prefers having fun to having to work the rear end off. But of course. We have all got to work. Otherwise, where would we get the money to have fun, right? Right. Anyhow, what follows is a few tasks that you should practice on the moment you’ve cleared your desk. In time, you will see the results. And they are positive.
More likes to you and that sort of thing. Maybe, who knows, more friends and followers too. And in-between, nice, positive comments from decent folks who like to make time for others like you. No, don’t say that. Don’t say that they haven’t got anything better to do with their time. That’s really negative and quite nasty if you don’t mind me saying so. It’s just that these folks are probably a lot busier than you are right now.
It doesn’t seem that way too because they have all learned the art of working smarter, not harder. They’re also learning how to do more with less. You have heard that saying too, right? Less is more. I believe in it. Anything else is probably too much, unnecessary and a real mess. And I for one don’t like being confused with too much on my plate. I like order, no clutter. No mess, no fuss. No stress. No, I don’t like stress either.
Right, to close off, here are your tasks. Let’s start with the hashtag. After creating one, you need to promote a dedicated hashtag across your social media profiles. In order to stand out, the creation of your hashtags needs to be the work of a creative artist. And that is you. Follow the leading hashtag trends. It’s a good learning curve for you. You get to see how the top dogs on Instagram are getting it right.
Make sure you are using your bio link to drive traffic to your latest posts. And write up your posts as descriptively and positively as possible.
